Are any of these people baby killers:
Isenhour, Churchill, MacArther, De Gaulle, Westmorland, Teddy Roosevelt, Abe Lincoln, U.S. Grant, Robert E. Lee?
What happened in Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Tokyo and a thousand other cities?
The people of Germany put Hitler in power, the Japenese worshipped the Emperor and they paid the price for their folly. So did the Amalekites!
Yep, BABIES DIED, children died, mommas died, dads died, little old ladies died. What often happens in a WAR dipstick? The point is you cannot call the Generals or the soldiers murderers!
It is you various greaseballs who cannot understand that the barbarians in question threatened Israel's existence and were repeatedly warned by prophets sent to them. Their leaders CAUSED THE DEATHS by doing just waht you do, rebellion against God's soverignty, only they took it a step further by engaging in CHILD SACRIFICE, ENTOMBING CHILDREN IN WALLS FOR GOOD LUCK.
Nineveh REPENTED and was spared, as God offers to ALL WHO REPENT.
If you ex-dub, whining atheists would do some research instead of chanting your anti-God slander someone might care to answer your dumb questions!
Besides that, most of Christianity interprets the Bible in light of the messiah's character, and if a O.T. story does not reflect His revealed character it is REJECTED as NOT GOD'S COMMAND.
Sheesh.

Hi Jay,
Like I said, read Romans in a good study Bible. You can probably even borrow one from a library if you don't have one. Pre-destination, free will are part of 'election' and there is a lot of disagreement between those who are Calvinists and the Arminians.
Look up 'Calvinism' on a web search.
This is a theological issue that doesn't affect your own choice in the matter. It's okay to disagree and speculate on how the great commision (Mat. 28.18-20)is carried out.
What it all boils doen to is that God is completely just to all souls in the end. People will truly get what they deserve in the degree they deserve it. There are differing degrees of rewards in salvation and punishment for the lost.
Think about it. The Bible teaches:
1) You are saved by grace through faith alone and not works.
2) Your works are an evidence of how much you let the Spirit work through you.
3) Once you are saved there is no danger of losing your salvation.
(Chas. Stanley's "Eternal Security" is an excellent read on this.)
4) The lost gradually become hardened tot he gospel, they reject it so often that the only unforgivable sin, the sin against the Holy Spirit is an accomplished fact int heir lives.I suspect we have more than a few of them here.

Farkel Hits the Bread Line
by Farkel ini had a very positive experience today which maybe not-so-coincidentally coincided with my recent comments on matthew 25.. it was only my second personal experience with babylon the grape in my entire life.
my first was when one of my daughters got married in a catholic church over three years ago.
i actually sat inside the catholic chapel and watched her priest perform the ceremony.

I'm still here, Doug. You're telling people just what I myself have experienced from the giving side of the coin. You know what? What people believe is between them and God...or no god if they prefer. But man, when people give of themselves for the benefit of others, that is the mark of a life filled with love.
It sounds like they will accept your help gratefully and it makes one feel so good to do things for others who can't repay you!
Someone sometime will ask you about your spiritual beliefs and I pray they just let the Holy Spirit do His work and they stay out of the way. May God bless you and yours in your time of need.
Don't let pride stand in the way if you are in need of more help.

Amen, old friend, amen. May your father return to be with God in heaven. May you and your Mom find peace in this moment of sorrow.
You have our love. We've been praying for you (and your family) in Sunday school.

Hi Jay,
We are the end result of sin breeding sin.
We are born an object of wrath to God.
We are all deserving of eternal damnation when we are aware of sin and do so willingly. (Romans 3.23; 6.23) (Read Romans!)
He is Holy and perfect. He is also merciful and just.
He sent His son to die and bear the sins of the world. He resurected His son, transforming His physical body to a spiritual body.
We have a choice yet God calls out only those who will accept His call, that is called 'election'. He knows ahead of time who will respond and so those ones are born into an eventual situation where they will accept His offer of grace.
That's why all of the arguments saying "what about so and so born in this country where no Christians are.." is a moot point. It also doesn't matter if one race of man seems to have more Christians than another, there is no race question in eternity. We are all born into the human race and we are one species...

Man, that post did me in. I am almost in tears after reading it. I have a niece that I have never seen in her two years of life and my brother and his family live about a mile from me.
I am not even df but I have been very vocal to anyone who asks me about religion. I am an 'apostate born again' and they can't hear my scriptural refutation of their wacky, nonsense doctrine.
Wow.
May God give the real apostates in Brooklyn the justice they deserve.

Kent Baby,
ALL true Christians have God living in them, working through them, that is why their good works show evidence of their salvation. Charities run by Christians are literally 'God working to ease pain and suffering', through HIS people.
Remember that the next time someone you know is a Christian does something for you and asks nothing in return. Even when we pass the collection plate we offer those who need it to take and not give!
Why do you think the Watchtower always slanders this act of giving for the benefit of all? So they themselves can collect ALL OF IT in their boxes at the front of the hall!
Yakki Da!

Rex, allow me to quote you.
>We were given a perfect world. We blew it.
I was not there, so why should I pay for somebody else's sin?Have you NOT sinned, Jay?
>As I see it God must like to see people die or at least want people to die at some point. Why not let Adam and Eve die and every body else live forever if that is want God wanted?
Did He want automatons or free will beings who choose to love Him for Himself? Does God dismiss His holiness and allow repetition of the original sin time and again? Do you honestly think that you or I would have done any better than our original parents?
That's my speculation of course. Great men and small have all asked these type of questions. We only have the Bible as a book that even comes close to answering any of these questions and mystery remains.
You won't find anything close in the Koran, the book of Mormon, the Vishnu. You also won't find a verifiable saviour who lived, died and rose again.
Faith is believing God even when he doesn't provide ALL of the answers for us. You and I have the opportunity to become adopted sons of God, through the cross that bridges the gap between us and God in all His glory.>"Hand me that whiskey, I need to consult the spirit."-J.F. Rutherford
I love that quote.

Please don't patronize me, James. Maybe you don't even realize you are doing so. You sometimes act like your 'playing for the crowd' and that is pretty shallow (we all do that! ;-)).
I'm good at doing that too sometimes.
Concerning those ones discussing my post at your home (I hope it was a good discussions with lots of views). It's a given that among unbelievers you will agree that the gospel is foolish or even repulsive.>but to believe that everyone who doesn't share your belief system will die or somehow thier life is not as complete as yours in my view is sad.
We will all die. You live a life as complete as mine. I am no better than you. I am just forgiven. You have not asked for what God is giving free, I have. James, you need to see that the soul IS man, not this physical shell.
>For me to assume that a persons life is only complete if they believe as me is truly sad.
Your falling back into JWism here. You do not understand REAL Christianity and attitudes among some who profess to be Christian only shows their fleshly nature. You also are not going to find a sinless Christian, that's why even some of the most loyal and devout fall to fleshly desires. You see, that's what JW-ism really misses the boat on. NONE are any better than another, NO organization is 'clean and pure', all are corrupted by our very nature.
>I fully understand your belief system-- IT REQUIRES that you look down on others- you have no choice -that is one of the requirements of most belief systems in fact.
Read the first few chapters of Romans and you will that you are totally wrong. I ain't going to quote it for you. Just read it in some real Bible and not the NWT. Paul takes everyone down to the same level and totally devestates the arrogance of the Jews...and the gentiles!
Our Lord tells us that there is but one way to redemption. We believe Him and we tell others that if we are faithful and straightforward. However, carrying out the Great Commision (Mat. 28.18-20) is not any ways 'looking down', for we know that without grace we are all in the same boat (Eph. 2.8,9).
You don't understand 'my belief system', you understand a 'straw man' of my belief system. That's just like when JWs say, 'trinitarians worship three gods'.
You see, James, none of us ARE good. We compare ourselves to others and that is not valid. God is Holy. His son is perfect and He is our comparison. We don't every become perfect, but claiming Christ as a propitiation for our sins makes us sinless in God's eyes. It is only in Him that we are made perfect.>Like i said i thank you for your post
Yes, and thank you for allowing me to share the gospel. It will reach someone's heart out there in 'lurker land'. Do you know one of the most frustrating things for authorities who try to stop the spread of the gospel?
Even the jailers and the executioners of the Christians get 'infected with the gospel'!
Later,Rex
